Starting the new year off right would include a visit to my new show opening at Noble Coffee Roasters in Campbell Hall N.Y. For Jan. 2010.Reception to be held on Thurs. Jan. 14th from 6.30 -830 pm.I will be featuring a collection of Pochade oil paintings created in 2009.

Memorial Day and my work

As a historical artist I create a lot of works that I hope evoke the viewer to remember that our freedom isn't free. Locked within every artifact of our military heritage are thousands of untold stories. If this canteen could talk, what would it say? Where has it been? Who used it? Of one thing I am sure; That is was carried by an American Soldier and I am indebted to him.

Earth Day 2009

This year for Earth Day, I wondered what I could do in my art to celebrate.I realized I could recover some masonite from a junked desk and recycle it. As most painters know that masonite is a fine material to paint on once it has been sanded and gessoed. So I pulled the nails and cut the board down into 5x7 size and got to work. Here are some of the works from this effort!

That time of the year

It is near the midwinter time and we are looking ahead to a new spring and all the promise that it brings. However it is also the time when your beagle pack gets to perform the job that they were borne to do, Chase rabbits. These days go fast and each one is a memory.Young dogs now older cry with authority and lead.Older dogs now older don't lead as much.Youngest dogs learn from there older pack mates and sing the songs of tomorrow and next year.This song once so loud in America seems to be rarer than in older days.It is always a time to be thankful we live where it can still be heard.
